Is the one question everyone has been asking when we talk about the trip and that we fly in less than a weeks time. I so want to be able to answer yes being the expected response, but I can’t. It’s not that I’m not excited, I am in a way, but at the moment it still doesn’t quite seem real, if that makes any sense. As Gethin always says, we’ve been talking about this trip since February, and we’ve been planning it full time for the last 3 months that I still think I’m struggling to take it all in.
I reminded Gethin last night that we only had 4 more nights in our own bed, as we are having to head up to London early due to the “Bloody” Nato Summit (that’s it full official title!) being held on 4 September at the Celtic Manor Hotel in Newport, and the police have threatened to close the M4 motorway around Newport (this is the main route in and out of Wales) as we can’t risk heading up that morning and missing the flight. After Monday the next time we will sleep in that bed again will be 4 September 2015, when you think about it, that’s frickin scary!! My first thought was, I’ve only ever been away from my bed for 4 weeks and I thought it was heaven that first night we got home – 12 months is just incomprehensible.
Saying all of that, being in London for a few days means we are going to try and see as many friends/family as possible before we go. So if you have nothing in your diary on Wednesday 3 September from 6.30pm pop over to Embankment and head to http://www.gordonswinebar.com/default.php
So that’s enough wibbling from me at the moment, I will be back whilst we are in Bangkok. We will lose everyone whilst we are in Vietnam and probably Cambodia but we will be back. Aren’t you lucky people ;o)
